— Quality products through a ‘wet production process’
STEICO wood fibre insulation boards from the wet process (PureWood) offer good availability, proven quality and versatile application possibilities.
This production process is special because wood lignin is used as a binding agent.
STEICO insulation boards are highly dense.
This means:
• better thermal insulation
• higher carbon storage*
• greater robustness and load-bearing capacity.
The STEICO wet production process is an environmentally friendly method of manufacturing wood fibre insulation boards. The fibres are bound together by their natural lignin, with no additional binding agents required.
The wood fibres, which are sourced from sustainably managed forests, are first steam-treated and then processed into fibres. Finally, they are compressed under high pressure and dried to form a dense, robust insulation board that offers excellent thermal and acoustic insulation.
STEICOuniversal has been synonymous with proven quality for decades. Of all STEICO's insulation boards, it has the highest gross density, offering excellent thermal insulation. STEICOuniversal can be used as a roof underlay panel on pitched roofs (type UDP-A, which is also suitable for emergency roofing) and as a wall construction panel. In large formats, it can also be used as reinforcement cladding. From a thickness of 35 mm, it can be combined with STEICO blow-in insulation. The profile of STEICOuniversal is compatible with STEICOuniversal dry.
STEICOspecial has also proven itself over many years. It is slightly thicker than STEICOuniversal and has a slightly higher λD value, making it particularly suitable for renovations. It is available in practical formats. It can be used as a roof underlay panel for pitched roofs (type UDP-A, which is also suitable for emergency roofing) and as a wall construction panel. The profile is compatible with STEICOspecial Dry and STEICOuniversal Dry.
STEICOprotect is a plasterable board for use in thermal insulation systems in timber frame constructions. Ideal for insulating existing façades, the board is perfect for external insulation. Thanks to its dimensional stability, the outer layer provides an ideal base for plaster adhesion. The core ensures stability.
Boards are available in a handy format with tongue and groove, or in a large format with straight edges.
With a λD value of 0.038 and plate thicknesses of up to 200 mm, STEICOtherm offers exceptional thermal insulation performance.
All panel thicknesses are available with straight edges and, for added versatility, the 100 and 160 mm thicknesses now come with a tongue-and-groove profile. This allows STEICOtherm to be laid freely across the rafters as an alternative to STEICOspecial dry.
STEICOtherm fulfils the function of an underlay when covered with the diffusion-open STEICOmulti UDB underlay or a STEICO wood fibre underlay board.
