Under pressure with a biodegradable fire retardant
With Lemahieu Fire Protection®, we can give timber products a fire retardant treatment with Burnblock® in our autoclave under pressure.
At our production site in Ostend, both our autoclave and the drying killns guarantee a qualitative treatment in accordance with current standards.
Step by step

The wood/plates are placed in the autoclave.

The wood/panels undergo a pre-vacuum which opens the cells.

The autoclave is filled with the fire-retardant liquid.

Under very high pressure, the wood product is impregnated with the liquid.

Burnblock® is now inside the wood/panels.

The wood/panels undergo a post-vacuum which removes excess moisture.
7
The wood/panels are dried until the desired moisture content is reached.

Once the process is complete, we obtain a product of the highest quality that can be used both indoors and outdoors.
