Lemahieu expands Accoya sales into France

A family business with more than 115 years of expertise

Founded in 1911 by the Lemahieu family, Lemahieu Group has grown into a well-established name in the timber sector and in creating added value for wood. With more than a century of craftsmanship and a strong focus on innovation, the group today offers an extensive range of timber and panel materials for the timber and building trade as well as the wood-processing industry.

Thanks to a modern and extensive machinery park including sawing, planing, impregnation, CNC, and fire-retardant treatment installations, Lemahieu is a reliable partner for customers both domestically and internationally. The group has strategically located sites and stock facilities in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France, and generates an annual turnover of approximately €130 million.

Sustainability as a strategic pillar

Sustainability is deeply embedded in the DNA of Lemahieu Group. The company consciously chooses timber sourced from sustainably managed forests and invests in renewable energy, water recovery, and environmentally friendly production processes. This vision aligns perfectly with the properties of Accoya, which is known as one of the most durable and dimensionally stable wood products on the market.

Expansion into the French market

With the expansion of sales into France, Lemahieu aims to respond to the growing demand for high-quality and sustainable building materials in the region. Accoya is used there for applications including façade cladding, decking boards, windows, and doors, and forms a strong addition to the existing range of timber, panel materials, and ThermoWood®.
